Radio
Scarborough's 2013 study conducted with Scarborough Puerto Rico local market insights revealed that the average Puerto Rican adult listens to 24 hours of radio in a week. Scarborough also polled the respondents which kind of radio stations they usually listened to. The most popular formats the respondents listened to were Spanish Tropical and Pop CHR, both of which are music stations that are great for dancing. However, the third most popular format stands out compared to the rest. News/Talk/Information follows closely behind the top two even though it is not music like almost all of the other formats reported on the graph. This shows that even though Puerto Ricans value music as a major part of their culture, the people also like to be informed about what is happening locally and even globally.
