Print in Puerto Rico
In 2013, Scarborough profiled media habits in Puerto Rico with its Scarborough Puerto Rico local market insights. In terms of the press, the new consumer statistics showed that 79% of Puerto Rico adults read a printed newspaper in the past week.
Scarborough also looked into what Puerto Ricans were reading when they opened their newspapers. The surveyed participants chose the sections they are likely to read. More than one-third of the reader population reads the Local News Section, and another third reads the Main News/Front Page. The lowest was Movie Listings and Reviews at 16 percent, presumably because many find that information out online or through peers.
