In 2013, Scarborough researched Puerto Rico's media habits with its Scarborough Puerto Rico local market insights. It was reported that the average Puerto Rican adult watches about 35 hours of television per week.
From BBC: "Home-grown comedies, talk shows and Spanish-language soaps are staple fare on local TV stations." The top television stations are Telemundo (channel 2) - commercial, WAPA (channel 4) - commercial, and Univision (channel 11) - commercial. Based on the number of Spanish Religious channels as can be seen on Station Index (7 out of 21 full-powered stations), religious television is also important to the Puerto Rican people.

Telemundo
Telemundo is one of Puerto Rico's best known television stations, even on mainland America. The official channel is known as WKAQ-TV on channel 2. It is owned by NBC Universal, so it's programming and scheduling is similar to America's NBC channel. Telemundo offers news as well as entertainment such as Caso Cerrado ("Case Closed," a courtroom show) and Marido en alquiler, a telenovela. WKAQ-TV broadcasts 7½ hours of locally produced newscasts each week. The name of its newscasts is Telenoticias.
